Your emotions are as powerful as your mind, it is a major part of your being. You need to learn that you're flexible. You can control your Emotions. Animals are predictable but the difference between man and animals is that we can control our emotions. A lot of times we live our life based on what we don't want instead of what we want. Every day you wake up, you wake up chasing pleasure (happens to everybody). In managing your emotions, you must get to the stage that you become emotional about adding value. There's a feeling that comes when what you're created for meets up with you. You need to be passionate about converting your purpose to creating value. Passion has a way of making you blind to challenges. It is the fuel that makes you unstoppable. You need to find out things you have to be passionate about. Find out what are the things in your life that you need to make it, and become passionate about them. There are two ways to do life; either be dragged through it or be excited about it. You only have one life, don't live it complaining, rather live it to the fullest! Never make a permanent decision over a temporary situation. Your feelings send a message to your mind and if you don't master your emotions your mind begins to accept what you're feeling as the truth. You conquer your feelings by dragging it to the point that it has no choice but to cooperate. Act your way into feeling, don't try to feel your way into feeling; so act anyway! The first few days of anything is hard; but if you keep at it, your feelings will adjust. The reason why many people haven't succeeded in what they want to is because they gave up the first few times they tried. Don't let your feeling dominate you When you find the things that are important, then begin to get emotional about it. Once you identify something as stress you'd never be able to do it but if you see it as pleasure it becomes easy. You have to have an emotional connection to your dreams. Your emotions is fuel to aid you to achieve that dream. Surround yourself with the right people that can motivate you to achieve your goals. Hebrew 10:25 Don't pursue any big dream without connecting with people who are also chasing such dreams. Many believers never grow because they are solo Christians. We're highly motivated by accountability. Get coaches for the things you want to achieve. You're not required to be strong all through your journey, but surround yourself with people who will help you stay strong. Get a picture of what you want to pray until you get passionate about them.

E-MOTIONS Subtopic: MEET YOUR EMOTIONS Bringing us God's word this morning tagged E-motions. Opening Verses: Mark 12:28-30 Many people have never fully paid attention to their emotions. Emotions are a very vital part of your being. You will never really maximize your life without gaining full mastery of your emotions. Jesus said we should worship the Lord with our whole being; emotions inclusive. You can't love without emotions. The Bible is loaded with teachings on emotions. Anything you feel is an emotion. Emotion simply put is feeling. Ephesians 4:26 It is easier to act your way into feeling, than to feel your way into acting Romans 12:15 You have no right to criticise anyone who you have never complimented. Subtopic: MEET YOUR EMOTIONS Timothy 2:22 With our emotions you can't express feelings. There are two extremes to meeting your Emotions. 1) People who live by their emotions. You were not created to live by your feelings alone, else you become a slave to your feelings. Living by your feelings is dangerous as will lead to destruction. 2) People who totally ignore their feelings. They have no emotional intelligence, becoming hazardous to those around them. The balance is to stay in between both as we all need a bit of both. Emotion is a powerful fuel, you can achieve anything in life if you can master them. Facts about Emotions; 1) Emotions are real but not always true. 2) Emotions are real but its not who you are. Don't confuse the feelings of events with who you are 3) Feelings are real but they are not final; they can change. Feelings can change. 4) Feelings are real but not always right. It is a great accelerators but not great steering control, it is a great servant but not a great master. 5) Feelings are real, let them propel you; feelings is fuel to get to your destination. You need to get to the stage where your feelings propels you to do the things you need to do. You need to first have direction, so that you can set your affections. - The God Of Exceeding Abundance
Oct 27, 2019 • 35 min
Pastor Jerome Anekwe bringing us God's word this morning. Titled: The God of the exceeding Abundance Opening verse: Job 8:7 Ephesians 3:20 Now unto him, that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, Exceeding abundance means; Exceptional in amount, extraordinary, phenomenon uncommon, outstanding, remarkable, plenty, fully sufficient, abundant in supply. God wants to interrupt the natural course of your life to bring about some uncommon outstanding results. When the God of exceeding abundance finishes with you, people will be astounded. Daniel 3:16 - 17 Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego answered and said to the king, O Nebuchadnezzar, we are not careful to answer thee in this matter. If it is so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand Genesis 18:14 Work in love and don't bother to defend your self against that battle because your God is able it defend you. God specializes in impossibilities. God will defend in you in those days of an adversary; that you will not need to do anything. You have to change your vocabulary from impossible to possible! Because God is a God that makes all things possible. God specializes in impossibilities If you can think, imagine or ask it, God is saying He's able to exceed it Genesis 11:6 God has put in man the ability to achieve whatever we imagine, but then He can even exceed all that! Don't be limited by your thinking! Ephesians 1: 16-19 God wants us to know the exceeding greatness of His power which is the same power that works in us and that power brings about the exceeding abundantly.
- Winning Part 3 // Brag on God

Every battle you face, it is not you the enemy is after, but the enemy is after your God You can alter your physical battle by invoking the spiritual! 1samuel 17:43-45 Everything you face is first spiritual before it manifests physically Learn to brag on your God; whatever you believe your God will do, boldly declare it! God will never deny His name when you brag on Him because it no longer about you but about Him. How to win: 3. Build on God. Matthew 7: 24-27 You can't brag on a God you don't know. You must build a personal relationship with God. If you’re born of a God you don’t know, then you cant know your capabilities Daniel 11:32 Christianity is not a religion, rather a relationship, so without the relationship then it’s all a waste. Jesus came to upgrade us from being God’s people to being God’s children John 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he the power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: God is many-sided, it is the way He wants to relate with you that determines what side of Him you’d know. It is a personal experiential knowledge of God that makes you able to do exploits. You have to make out time to study the bible to get a personal revelation of God John 15:2-5 You remain in God by prayer and God remains in you by the Word. You must have a dedicated, devoted time of personal prayer; you can’t know God without spending alone time with Him. John 15:2-8 Everybody has time; you must make out time to study the word. Ephesians 5:19 Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;
- The Life Of Daniel 2 (Faithful)
Oct 16, 2019 • 55 min
Minister Wale bringing us God's word tonight There are certain behaviours that attract God, even when you don't even consciously call on Him Opening Verse: Daniel 1: 8-9 To replicate a person's result you need to copy the person's behavior. One of Daniel's key strength was faithfulness. Faithfulness is the concept of unfailingly remaining loyal to someone or something, and putting that loyalty into consistent practice regardless of extenuating circumstances. Many Christians are faithful until the are faced with an extenuating circumstances. Loyalty is good but faithfulness is better. God will respond anytime He sees faithfulness; because faithfulness is rare Psalms 101:6 If you're faithful, you have no option but to be blessed Proverb 20:6, Galatians 6:9 God is excited when He sees faithful people; He brags with them. Job 1:8 Loyalty is not in the nature of God, but faithfulness is! Hebrew 10:23 1John 1:9 When you possess certain characteristics and you see someone who has a like character, you naturally will be drawn; so is faithfulness for God. If you need an automatic introduction of God into your life, stay faithful! Another thing about faithfulness is that it opens you up for God's unlimited blessings! Matthew 25:23 The highest point of Daniel's miracle can be seen in Daniel 6: 3-4 It was not just excellence that got him there but faithfulness in excellence. Faithfulness is a defence. Daniel 6:4 Then the presidents and princes sought to find occasion against Daniel concerning the kingdom, but they could find none occasion nor fault; forasmuch as he was faithful, neither was there any error or fault found in him. Faithfulness is a defence When you're faithful, and the enemy comes to attack you, it springs God into defending you Himself. Taking you up is not a problem for God, the question is, will you be faithful? Faithfulness is not what they make you do, but what you decide to do.

Pastor Kingsley Okonkwo ministering....... Continuing from last week the series "WINNING". We must constantly meditate on the gravity of this statement: “We are born of God”. Being born again comes with the capacity to win. To overcome the world. (1 John 5:4) This Sunday we will be talking on "Brag on God". To attain victory we must brag on God. One of the easiest ways to win is to brag on God. You must be confident in God, and to build this confidence you must know God for yourself. This world is first spiritual, the deeper part of this world is spiritual just a little is physical. Your faith alters your results in life, faith comes by hearing reasons you cannot miss service, prayers and studying the word. Your faith alters the results you get in life and faith comes by hearing. This world is first spiritual so everybody is bragging on something their god but we brag on our God. This world is spiritual and because of this everybody is bragging on something. We must know how to brag on God. Daniel 3:5-25 We need to know it’s a battle of gods here on earth. We have God who rules over our affairs. Daniel 3:15-25 It is a battle of gods here on earth, we have a God that oversees our affairs. So brag on Him, nobody that has said "if I perish I perish" that has ever perished, God usually shows up, He is faithful. Brag on your God that you will make it in & thrive in this country. Elijah bragged on the power of God and got a result. 1 Kings 18: 24 - 40 And call ye on the name of your gods, and I will call on the name of the LORD: and the God that answereth by fire, let him be God. And all the people answered and said, It is well-spoken. No matter how coded it seems life is a god battle. Brag on God that you're going to make it in this life and country. 1 Samuel 17:45 - 46 God always shows up for us when we brag on Him. David bragged on God and got victory over the Philistine. Daniel 11:32 We must “know” God, not “know about” God. You can't Bragg on a God you don't know. When God backs you up on small steps your confidence grows. You may never experience the miraculous until you brag and move on God.

Pastor Kingsley Okonkwo ministering....... Today we are starting a series on #WINNING Opening Verse: 1 John 5:4 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. 1 John 5:4 If you're a born again Christian then you're born of God. What gave birth to you determines what happens to you. Your originality determines you track in life, natural birth keeps you natural but spiritual birth gives you an edge (supernatural). If you're born of God victory irrespective of the challenge but if you're just physical born then the challenges of this life will deal with you... As believers we don't fight for victory but fight from victory, so your attitude must show you're in victory already. It is possible to win always in life! There's a realm that you enter and your life has no choice but to get better and better. As a victor do not meditate on the problems of life rather meditate on the promise, forget about the breaking news focus on the good news. One of the benefits of being born again is that you change your potential to the attributes of God (victory). Focus on the past victories God has given you in the past, this was one David's strategies. 1Samuel 17:33-36. His strength for future victories depended on his meditating on past victories. Has God been good to you in the past? So sit down consciously and meditate on that past victories and fight. If He did it then He will do it again. David's strength for future victory came form remembering his past victory. Draw from your testimony, meditate on it, you will get courage and strength to face your current challenge. As an unbeliever, you carry the characteristics of man, but when you become born again you gain the characteristics of God. In this season, one of the things you must do to win is to remember the victories of the past. Anything you meditate on gets enlarged and begins to color the outcome of your life. Has God been good to you in the past? So sit down consciously and meditate on that past victories and fight. If He did it then He will do it again. Do not be hardened in your heart and forget the things God has done in the past. Mark 6:52

Minister Olawale Oladapo ministering...... When you remember, your confidence comes back; pressure disappears. What You Should Remember: #1 Remember the things that God has done in the past. 1Samuel 17:37 Testimonies are living things once you remember them it breathes faith into you. It can reproduce after its kind. #2 Remember what God has done for your neighbour and know you're next, God is in the neighbourhood. He is faithful. You will never be forgotten. #3 Remember and connect with miracles He has done in His word. The bible contains the largest record of miracles and testimonies! Joshua 2:9 The idea is, your challenges are more terrified about you than you know. They know at a point they have to give in but because you can't see the next minute so you don't know. Joshua 2:9.

Minister Supo bringing us God's word this morning tagged The power of consistency in leaving a legacy. Opening verses: Matthew 24:13 It is easy to start a thing, but it takes more to see it through to the end. In the journey of life so many things will try to stop you from staying till the end, you need to persevere till the end in order to get the desired result You have to learn to keep your eyes on the ball. There's need for you to manage your life and time. You have to learn to keep your eyes on the ball. There's need for you to manage your life and time. 2 Corinthians 4:17 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; A man's life is designed to be progressive and not stagnant; if it's not progressive then it's a curse. God doesn't want you to be stagnant. Never make a permanent decision for a temporal situation. The wilderness doesn't define you, it is only a temporary phase. There's an attitude you need to have when going through the wilderness, remember that it is only a phase. Your salvation is tied to your endurance to the end. How to endured to the end; 1) God plants you in a family. Psalm 68:6, Psalm 92:13 You cannot flourish if you're not planted (rooted) in God's house. 2) See the bigger picture for your life. Hebrew 12:2 This helps you not to be easily moved and not give up easily. We (Christians) fall into the temptation of seeing every hardship or challenge we face as a punishment or Judgement from God but it's not always true, sometimes the challenge can be a channel of blessing, God is an expert at birthing your miracle through your pain (ask any woman who has delivered a baby) The sad part is we not only think like this for ourselves but we think so when we see others facing challenges, we have to correct that mindset because some blessings in your life can only come through challenges--where would David be without Goliath That you are a Christian doesn't mean that you will not face any challenge Sometimes God blesses us through the challenges we face. Pressure sometimes brings out the best in you. God wants to birth something new from what you face. (James 1:13) Goliath was David's passport to the throne. Many Christians have missed what God is planning for them because they try to avoid challenges/ pressures. Whenever you see a Christian go through challenges, it doesn't mean God is punishing them Don't be self-righteous and judgmental. Luke 18:9-14 Every time you exalt yourself above others, you have missed the mark. For we are saved by grace through faith and not of works lest any man should boast. Luke 18:9-14 Some of the biggest encounters of blessings you'd experience will come through troubles. All things are working together for your good. Roman 8:28 Those challenges are your employees; they are working for you. 7 STEPS TO TAKE WHEN GOING THROUGH A CHALLENGE 1) Stay calm; is not everybody you should tell what you're going through. Psalm 46:10 2) Don't react in anger. James 1:29. Acting in anger will never produce the right result. 3) Trust God. Psalm 34:4-5 4) Be sincere if you have missed God. proverbs 28:13 Retrace your steps if you know you are on the wrong track. when you've gone wrong and repent 5) Ask for direction (WISDOM) and act on it. James 1:5 You need the sensitivity of heart, one right step can turn the situation around. 6) Show mercy to your offenders. You can't hold a grudge and be blessed Job 42:10 Genesis 50:20 7) Stay in thanksgiving and in fellowship with God.
- Leaving A Legacy Part 4
Sep 15, 2019 • 54 min
Pastor Kingsley Okonkwo ministering....... 1 Corinthians 15:19 Our concerns should not be tied to here on earth only, we need to consider eternity too, so our investments here needs to be eternity oriented. So the idea is what did you do with your blessings and challenges here on earth? How did you live your life here on earth after receiving Jesus? Do not be obsessed with your challenges even though the devil magnifies it, it will come and it will go. Get to a stage where what you're going through does not matter anymore. The thing is there's an assurance of victory plug into God and stay glued. Never get too familiar with God. Genesis 28:16 Do not be too familiar with the things of the spirit. Every investment about God counts. God rewards. God is a record keeper, keep putting in, if our hope is in this life alone then our walk holds nothing. Matthew 10:42 Put in the deposit of Kingdom service Few things to know about your giving and legacy... #1 God pays attention to what you give; the idea of nothing is too small and nothing is too big is not a godly idea. Luke 21:2-4. Offering baskets receives everything but God doesn't take everything. What is the sacrifice behind your giving? Genesis 4:2-5, Hebrews 11:4 Do not envy people's blessing envy their sacrifices, everyone are not equal in the sight of God. Our sacrifice is key. #2 God considers how you give too Your attitude towards giving, the attitude in which you bring in the gift to God matters to God. God sees the heart. So you can deceive the Pastor but God sees your heart, God cannot be mocked. Your attitude must be right, it is a privilege to give to God. 2 Corinthians 9:7 #3 God pays attention to when you give it. You must give God first, God is a God of priority. He must be first place or He is not involved. God must come first not the remaining. To give to God first is a sign of honor. Proverbs 3:9, Matthew 6:6, Putting God first blesses the rest, it's a principle. Never put God second rather put Him first He secures the rest, our giving is a sign of honor, it's not that He's hungry. #4 God pays attention to who gives... God pays attention to people that gives Acts 10:31, Matthew 26:31. It's not the size it's the quality. Some giving is time-bound. God pays attention to who gives. (Act 10:31) Giving is not measured by the quantity but by the quality. Your gift is measured by it's worth to you; the giver. (Genesis 22:1) Mark 10:29-30 And Jesus answered and said, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake, and the gospels, But he shall receive an hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the world to come eternal life.
- DCC CORE VALUE ISLAND MIDWEEK
Sep 11, 2019 • 31 min
DCC CORE VALUE ISLAND MIDWEEK Min Wale As a ministry, we have certain core values that determine our culture and influences how we engage. We understand that love opens doors and we use it as a tool to reach people around us. Acts 4:9, Acts 9:36 The first core value is REACHING OUT. Do good without expectation. It is your mandate as a Christian. Galatians 6:10 Another core value is REAL LIFE. A life without restrictive condemnation; that aligns us to God's true purpose without fear of negativity. John 10:10 The next core value we hold dear as a ministry is RIGHT LIVING. We are particular about how we develop God's temple, which is our body. 1 Thesalonians 5:23, 1 Corinthians 6:20 One of the ways to live right is to follow God's precepts. The final core value is RESULTS; a culture of performance in every area of life. Winning has been a way of life for us. 1 Chronicles 18:6 There are two ways to always produce results without fail. 1. Selfless giving 2. The life of Faith 1 Chronicles 18:6 It's a wrap! Word received. See you again on Sunday.

Our challenge is that we have people who are not thinking about the future. Even parents, teachers don't think about the future that they allow character flaws but kill their self-esteem. Even to the leaders in our nation don't think about education so they don't invest in because it doesn't yield immediate yields. You can be intelligent and not wise. So plan for the next generation. The easiest history to repeat itself is the negative history. Things to do for the next generation.. #1-Leave wisdom for the generation, not just the money. Wealth transferred without wisdom is poverty. Start early to transfer wisdom and training in your child(ren). Between age 1 to 10. You should have done the impacting the most important training. Show them your secrets on time. Let them know your mistakes so they avoid it. #2-Demonstrate values to them not just teach them, children can copy easily. #3-Sacrifice Teach your children how to sacrifice for the Lord, Christianity is founded on sacrifice. A price was paid to keep us to God. Hebrews 2:10 Jesus paid the price for us. By the sacrifice of Isaac, Abraham secured a nation. There are sacrifices you will make that can preserve your generations. Only tithe keeps devourers away. Genesis 15:14 Genesis 22:1-17 Whatever wealth God gives to you will comes with a test and that's the starting point, He will give you back. There are things God will tell you to do that will secure other things in future. The power of sacrifice... -Sacrifice speaks beyond the sacrificer. -God does not forget sacrifice.
