Joshua 1:8 This week and beyond, walk in wisdom by God's standard. The source never changes, regardless of how much the channel does. Keep your eyes on the source. The blessing of God is irreversible. Make an effort to do all that is written in God's word. That's the only way to contact wisdom. Joshua 1:8 How do you contact wisdom? By carefully modelling every decision of your life to God's word. Wisdom is not smartness and should not be patterned after the world's method ; it is a decision governed by the fear of God. Luke 16:8, 2 Timothy 3:15 God-fearing doesn't connote 'terror' but 'reverence.' So, the fear of God is the word-ruled, reverence of God's word. God doesn't operate by fear because fear is evil. Never relate with God from a standpoint of fear but reverence. How do you know someone who has the fear of God? By determining what guides their life and how they honour a certain code or belief over God's word. Respecting the source of a word validates how you engage that word. The reverence you have for God determines how you take his word. It's not everything people say about you that you should have access to. You were created to be affected by words. Guard your heart. Because you’re working for God does not mean you are walking with God. The real test of whether someone is your Father is whether you behave like him How Do You Know God is Your Father. 1. Your Birth Certificate : The Holy Spirit. 2. Love: If you are going to be like God, then you have to love. 2 Peter 3:9. If love is not your nature, you can’t say God is your Father. Signs and wonders should be happening around you as a normal occurrence. Goodness and mercy should follow you everywhere you go. 5. You will like to visit home frequently. If you can solve problems, you will be rich. You can never get wealth by begging, borrowing and get-rich-quick schemes Stages of Not Being Broke 1. Making Money 2. Managing Money 3. Multiplying Money Making money starts with solving problems. Nobody can dash you money into prosperity. If you’re broke, you’re simply not solving a problem. Reasons why you may not be seeing problems 1. Pride 2. Fear 3. Laziness 4. Clueless 5. Selfishness 6. Unfaithfulness Things You’re Not Treating Right If You Are Broke 1. Time: Time is a convertible resource. Convert it to money. 2. Information: Information is unlimited 3. Relationships: Your financial level will have something to do with the four to five people in your life. 4. Your mind 5. Opportunities 6. Talent, gift and passion 7. Money: Money is sensitive and if it sees disrespect in how you treat it, it will start to run from you. Managing Money Remove pressure. You can’t manage money if you are a people pleaser. Managing Money Cut off things that make you waste money. As long as you’re working, you must be able to save something. You don’t live by needs, you live by budget. When your money increases, don’t increase your lifestyle. Proverbs 21:17 Multiplying Money Wealthy people make money even when they are sleeping. Invest your money. Let your money work for you. Hebrews 10:25 If you have God, you will thrive. If you are an heir, all that belongs to your father belongs to you. Where ever the head is , is the headquarters. Gods presence guarantees your protection. “He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.” Psalms 91:1 NKJV God’s presence gives you guidance. Always take time out to seek God direction in all you do. “But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and you know all things.” I John 2:20 NKJV It is possible for God to give you a word and it doesn’t come to pass, because of you do not seek Him on the steps to take to bring those Words to fulfillment. Your physical experience is subject to change, but God’s truth never change. If God say you know all things, you do. Your spirit knows all things if you can tap into it. “For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God.” I Corinthians 2:11 NKJV When you get a vision for God, you need the wisdom of God to carry it out. As a believer always search your spirit for divine guidance. Don’t do things because people are doing it. Don’t follow the band wagon. How to build the sensitivity to hear God; 1. By fasting Act 13:1-2 “As they ministered to the Lord and fasted, the Holy Spirit said, “Now separate to Me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.”” Acts 13:2 NKJV Fasting helps you be conscious Note: 1a. Fasting is for you not for God. It helps you be sensitive to God. 1b. It helps you to receive what God has already released to you. Romans 8:2 1c. It helps you to be aware of what God has for you. 1d. Fasting is mandatory not optional. 1e. It is a total experience, not just a physical experience. It is keeping away from physical benefits to focus on spiritual benefits. 1f. You can’t fast holding grudges. You can’t come with unforgiviness 1g. Watch what to eat. You eat for strength not to be happy during a fast. “I ate no pleasant food, no meat or wine came into my mouth, nor did I anoint myself at all, till three whole weeks were fulfilled.” Daniel 10:3 NKJV You can be meditating on food. 1h. Have a set goal for your fast. For instance this January fast is to prepare us for the year. 1j. Don’t make a public show of your fast.
