Jun 14, 2026 • 50 min
Are you frustrated by how long God's promises are taking? If you're tired of waiting, tempted to take shortcuts, or wondering why life isn't moving as fast as you hoped, this message is for you. 👉 Watch until the end and discover why God's timing is better than your shortcuts and how trusting His process can protect your future. In this powerful message from the Psalms of David series, Pastor Paul Daugherty unpacks one of the most defining moments in David's life. Hiding in a cave while running from King Saul, David is handed what looks like the perfect opportunity to take the throne God promised him. Instead, he chooses integrity over impatience and trust over control. Many of us know what it's like to feel stuck between where we've been and where we're trying to go. We want the breakthrough, the promotion, the relationship, the healing, or the answer now. But what if the greatest work God is doing isn't in your destination—it's in the process? You'll learn: • How to trust God when life feels delayed • Why shortcuts often create unnecessary pain • How pressure can tempt us to compromise • Why character is developed before promotion • How to surrender your timeline to God's calendar Whether you're waiting for a breakthrough, struggling with disappointment, or trying to stay faithful in a difficult season, this message will encourage you to trust that God is still working and that His timing is always worth the wait. ⏱ Chapters: 00:00 – God Will Fulfill His Purpose For You 03:45 – The Story Behind David's Psalm 07:15 – The Temptation to Take a Shortcut 10:00 – Cutting Corners & Trusting God's Calendar 13:30 – Why How You Get There Matters 18:15 – Pressure, Compromise, and Waiting 23:55 – Be Still and Know That He Is God 28:15 – Trusting God's Process 34:00 – God's Timing vs. Your Shortcuts 39:30 – The Real Victory David Won 44:00 – Surrendering Your Future to God ABOUT VICTORY CHURCH Victory Church exists to help people encounter Jesus, grow in faith, and live out their God-given purpose. Jun 7, 2026 • 49 min
#victorychurch #inspiration #motivation #worship #love Feeling alone, stuck, or hidden in a difficult season? Your cave is not your final chapter—God is still working in you. Watch until the end and be reminded that God can turn your cave into a classroom, a community, a training ground, and a catalyst for praise. In Lessons From the Cave, Pastor Paul Daugherty continues the Psalms of David series by looking at David’s season of hiding from Saul. David was anointed to be king, but before he reached the palace, he had to learn how to trust God in the cave. This message will encourage you if you feel isolated, discouraged, misunderstood, or overwhelmed. Like David, you may be in a season that feels dark—but God is using it to shape your character, deepen your faith, and prepare you for what’s next. Pastor Paul teaches from Psalm 142, Psalm 34, and 1 Samuel 22, showing how David turned his cave into a place of honest prayer, worship, healing, forgiveness, and community. The cave may be part of your story, but it is not your destination. - THE ART OF DODGING SPEARS | PAUL DAUGHERTY | PSALMS OF DAVID SERIES PT. 3
May 31, 2026 • 57 min
What do you do when life keeps throwing spears your way? In this powerful message from the Psalms of David series, Pastor Paul Daugherty reveals how David survived years of betrayal, criticism, jealousy, and attacks without becoming bitter. 👉 Watch until the end and discover how to protect your heart, keep your peace, and trust God when you're facing painful relationships or spiritual battles. David defeated Goliath in a moment, but he spent years learning how to survive Saul's spears. In Psalm 59 and 1 Samuel 18, we see a different kind of battle—one fought not with a sling, but with worship, forgiveness, and unwavering trust in God. If you've been hurt by family members, friends, coworkers, leaders, or even circumstances beyond your control, this message will encourage you to keep moving forward without letting bitterness take root. You'll learn why retaliation never brings healing, how worship becomes a weapon in difficult seasons, and why God's hand is still protecting you even when attacks seem relentless. No matter what spear has been thrown at you—betrayal, rejection, discouragement, financial pressure, conflict, or spiritual warfare—God can turn your greatest pain into a testimony of victory. Your story isn't over. Keep your song. Keep your faith. Keep your heart tender. And trust that God's goodness is still ahead. - INSIDE THE MIND OF A GIANT SLAYER | PAUL DAUGHERTY | PSALMS OF DAVID SERIES PT. 2
May 24, 2026 • 1h 3m
Fear is not your future. God has given you the mindset of a giant slayer. Watch this message and learn how to face fear, silence intimidation, and run toward the battles God has called you to win. In this powerful message, Pastor Paul Daugherty continues the Psalms of David series by looking inside the mind of a giant slayer. Before David ever defeated Goliath in public, God had already shaped his mindset in private. David was not stronger, taller, or more experienced than everyone else. He simply thought differently. While others saw a giant too big to defeat, David saw a God too great to fail. This sermon will help you recognize the spirit of intimidation, take authority over fear, remember God’s faithfulness, and stop wearing someone else’s armor. You will be encouraged to build a stronger schedule, speak victory before you see victory, and trust that the battle belongs to the Lord. If you are facing financial pressure, anxiety, insecurity, spiritual warfare, family tension, or a battle that feels bigger than you, this message is for you. - MAN AFTER GOD'S OWN HEART | PSALMS OF DAVID SERIES PT. 1 | PAUL DAUGHERTY
May 17, 2026 • 1h 4m
God sees you when people overlook you. If you’ve ever felt forgotten, rejected, or unseen, this message from the life of David will remind you that God is still preparing you for purpose. Watch until the end and ask God to search your heart, renew your faith, and help you trust His timing. In this first message of the Psalms of David series, Pastor Paul Daugherty teaches from Psalm 139 and 1 Samuel 16 on what it really means to be a man or woman after God’s own heart. David wasn’t chosen because he was perfect. He was chosen because his heart was surrendered. While others looked at appearance, status, strength, and position, God looked at the heart. While David was forgotten in the field, God was forming him in the secret place. This sermon will encourage you if you feel overlooked, stuck in grief, hidden in an unseen season, or unsure if God can still use you. Through David’s story, you’ll discover that God is not finished with you, your faithfulness matters, and your private surrender prepares you for public purpose. You don’t have to chase approval, protect your image, or prove your worth. God sees you. God knows you. God is after your heart. - JESUS WANTS TO CHANGE YOUR STORY | PAUL DAUGHERTY | THIS IS MY STORY PT. 3
May 3, 2026 • 50 min
You are not stuck in the chapter you hate. Jesus can rewrite your story, break the labels off your life, and lead you into freedom. Watch until the end and let this message build your faith for healing, breakthrough, and a new testimony. In this powerful message, Pastor Paul Daugherty continues This Is My Story with a sermon called “Jesus Wants to Change Your Story.” Through Mark 4 and Mark 5, we see Jesus cross the Sea of Galilee for one hurting man who had been living among the tombs, tormented, isolated, and labeled by his pain. But Jesus did not see him as hopeless. Jesus saw a story worth redeeming. Maybe you feel defined by anxiety, depression, addiction, shame, grief, family brokenness, or a diagnosis. Maybe you have tried everything to fix what only Jesus can heal. This message is a reminder that your story does not have to stay stuck where it is right now. The same Jesus who crossed the lake for one man still comes after the one today. He can move you from fear to faith, from bondage to freedom, from shame to grace, and from pain to purpose. Your story is not finished. God can use what the enemy tried to destroy and turn it into a testimony that helps someone else find hope. Betrayed by his brothers. No one he could trust. A slave. But Joseph had something that had not been taken away. Joseph had the promise of God. (13 years in EGYPT before becoming PRIME MINISTER) – most scholars believe 1-2 years serving Potiphar--- and 10-12 years in prison… ---GOD’S PURPOSE outlasts every season that you walk through---God’s purpose remains the same even when your positions change… Your purpose is not defined by a role, a title, a salary, or a job---you purpose is to bring glory to God… MANY people want to be DISCOVERED, but few are willing to be DEVELOPED… YOUR PRISON has a PURPOSE that’s BIGGER THAN YOU YOU’RE NOT ALONE IN THIS PRISON--- ---Remember the Light lives inside of you---turn your prison of pain into a prison of praise WHAT if God wanted to TURN the PLACE of YOUR greatest MISERY into the place of your greatest MINISTRY? Chapter 40: The Prisoners' Dreams • Interpreting Dreams: While in prison, Joseph interprets the dreams of Pharaoh’s chief cupbearer and chief baker. • Accurate Predictions: He correctly predicts that the cupbearer will be restored to his position and the baker will be executed. • Forgotten: Joseph asks the cupbearer to remember him to Pharaoh, but once restored, the cupbearer forgets him for two years. ---THE WRONG INTERPRETER messes everything up… WE NEED the RIGHT INTERPRETATION--- When you let the enemy interpret what’s going on in your life, you’ll always be at a deficit. ---1 Cor. 14:13—pray for the interpretation ---The enemy will put your good news in a negative light. He’ll make you see your future through your flaws. He’ll have you look at your whole life through the lens of one situation. ----That’s why we need the Spirit of God: because when God is your interpreter, your story looks a whole lot different. He sees the negative parts of your story and knows that you’re just getting started. ---I AM PRAYING FOR THE LORD to help me have the POWER to get the RIGHT INTERPRETATION on situations, people, conversations, visions, dreams, etc… D—delays, desires, disappointment R—rejection E—emotions A—adversity M—my family-memories, momentum, my plans S--suffering ---I NEED the HOLY SPIRIT to SHOW ME with discernment what’s true and what’s misinformation or fleshly… ---LORD help me not to MISINTERPRET even seasons of rejection, tiredness, loneliness, sadness, etc—REJECTION is REDIRECTION... Chapter 41: Joseph’s Rise to Power • Pharaoh’s Dreams: Pharaoh has two troubling dreams about seven fat cows eaten by seven thin cows and seven healthy ears of grain consumed by seven thin ones. The cupbearer finally remembers Joseph. • The Interpretation: Joseph interprets the dreams as seven years of great abundance followed by seven years of severe famine. He advises Pharaoh to store food during the years of plenty. • Promotion: Impressed by Joseph’s wisdom, Pharaoh appoints him ruler over all Egypt, second only to himself. Chapter 42: The First Journey of the Brothers-----Famine Strikes: Jacob sends ten of his sons to Egypt to buy grain; he keeps Benjamin at home. The Meeting: Joseph recognizes his brothers, but they do not recognize him. He tests them by accusing them of being spies. Chapter 43: The Second Journey with Benjamin----Return to Egypt: As the famine continues, the brothers return to Egypt with Benjamin. Judah pledges his own life for Benjamin’s safety. Joseph is deeply moved upon seeing Benjamin. Chapter 44: The Final Test-- Joseph hides his silver cup in Benjamin's sack. When it is "found," he declares that Benjamin must stay as his slave. Judah delivers a moving speech, offering to take Benjamin’s place as a slave to spare their father the grief of losing another son. Chapter 45: Reconciliation----The Reveal: Overcome with emotion, Joseph reveals his identity to his brothers. He tells them not to be distressed, as it was God who sent him to Egypt to preserve life. Forgiveness is a PROCESS, NOT an EVENT. 📘 Connect with Us: Explore more about God and get plugged in at Victory by going to https://victory.com/online. Let us know how we can support your journey! - HERE COMES THE DREAMER | PAUL DAUGHERTY | JACOB SERIES PT 5
Mar 8, 2026 • 55 min
#dream #jacobseries #victory #hope #joseph #Jesus #sermon #pauldaugherty #herecomesthedreamer SERMON NOTES GENESIS 37:1-36 (19) — NOTHING MAKES THE DEVIL MORE MAD and THREATENED than when GOD’S PEOPLE DREAM with GOD’S HEARTBEAT. — Dreamer: One who sees something in their heart and moves towards it to make it a reality. Without a Dream, the people perish. — Proverbs 29:18 — The greatest DREAMS are GOD DREAMS. And GOD DREAMS can change EVERYTHING. GOD DREAMS will go with you into eternity and inevitably make an eternal impact on people’s lives. What is a GOD DREAM? It is a DREAM from God that can only be achieved with God’s help. What does it mean to dream with God? Dream BIG enough that you can’t do it on your own — only with God’s help could it come to pass. CREATE space to hear GOD’S VOICE: put down your phone; listen up; stay at the altar; make sure your dream is in ALIGNMENT with GOD. — IF it’s a God dream it will have GOD’S PEACE. — IF it’s a God dream it will honor God’s WORD. — IF it’s a God dream it will bring GOD GLORY. — IF it’s a God dream it won’t be EASY- it will take WORK. — IF it’s a God dream it will need GOD’S HELP. — IF it’s a God dream it will need a GOD TEAM. — IF it’s a God dream it will have God’s PROVISION. — IF it’s a God dream it will have ADVERSITY. JOSEPH'S BROTHERS grew in hatred and jealousy because of HIS DREAMS before they betrayed him... BEWARE of the SIGNS of HATRED and BETRAYAL: • Resentment towards someone • Refusing to say a kind word • Frustrated with someone’s favor • Believing the Worst • Hardening of the heart towards someone • Jealous of the confidence and spotlight that someone has… Someone else’s confidence just bothers you — Oftentimes people's envy towards you is less about YOU and more about THEM... 6 questions to ask yourself in finding God’s Dream for your life: 1. Am I seeking God? 2. Have I Asked God what His dream is for my life? 3. What has God gifted me to do? 4. What makes my heart sing? (What are you passionate about) 5. What makes breaks my heart? 6. How can I use my gifts, my resources, & my passion to meet the need that is breaking my heart? Dreams need to be protected: • Through prayer • Through discernment (who to tell) • Through your words (know when to speak and when not to- speak life) GUARD the DREAM on the ALTAR Satan attacks, knowing that a "deferred hope makes the heart sick" (Proverbs 13:12), hoping to cause believers to abandon their God-given vision. John 10:10—the thief comes to steal, kill, and destroy. Your dream is under attack! The Dream Stealers: • Delays • Distractions • Discouragement • Disillusionment • Critics • Pain of life • Ingratitude • Complacency • Numbness • Loss of hope The Dream Team: • Encouragers — encourage you in the pursuit of the dream God gave you, and speak life into your dream. • Prayer Partners — Are committed to praying for you and the dream that God put in your heart. Mentors- Give wisdom when needed, are not afraid to challenge you, and help you find the right answers. • Supporters — Are there when the going gets tough. They hold your arms up in battle. These people will even contribute finances or resources to help make the dream happen. Victory Church — every week get here to lean into the Word, faith, worship, prayer, community, and accountability. 1 Peter 1:7 — every dream must be tested. Dreams must be TESTED... • Through the Word • Through Prayer • Through wise counsel —The company you keep has a lot to do with how your dreams are formed and fashioned. • Through adversity — Big destines require BIG character. And character comes from enduring adversity. Greatness is not developed in a day, but DAILY. • GENESIS 37:31–36 — Joseph is pronounced DEAD to his father. No one can comfort someone who’s soul is defeated… JACOB, WHICH COAT WILL YOU CARRY? Inconsolable grief or hope? Despair? Sadness? Worry? Isaiah 61:3, the choice is to exchange the "spirit of heaviness" (despair, mourning, brokenness) for a "garment of praise" While he was crying, the dream was just beginning. - THAT'S NOT WHO YOU ARE | PAUL DAUGHERTY | JACOB SERIES PT. 4
Mar 1, 2026 • 52 min
#thatsnotwhoyouare #sermon #pauldaugherty #victorytulsa #jacobseries #identity #benjamin #Genesis GENESIS 35:1-14 — BACK TO BETHEL (what is bethel for us as believers? The CROSS — the place we are made right with God. The Call to Return (Genesis 35:1) The Command: God initiates the return, telling Jacob to "Arise, go up to Bethel"— RETURN TO YOUR FIRST LOVE — God reminds Jacob of his first encounter when he fled from Esau, calling him back to his original commitment. THERE IS NO RENEWAL without REPENTANCE. There is NO REVIVAL without REPENTANCE. God was reaching out to Jacob to give him GRACE after a season of TRAGEDY. And the invitation was labeled: SURRENDER. The Requirement of Purity (Genesis 35:2–4) The PATH TOWARDS GOD’S PURPOSE REQUIRES YOU TO: • Get Rid of Idols — Jacob commands his family to "put away the foreign gods." • Purify yourself & Change your Outfit — The family must "purify yourselves and change your garments," symbolizing a clean heart and a new start. • Have a Funeral & Bury ALL the IDOLS that you’ve been carrying — They bury their idols and earrings under an oak tree, leaving their past behind. CUT TIES with all the LIES… REMEMBER that WHERE GOD DIRECTS, GOD PROTECTS (Genesis 35:5–7) - Divine Intervention: As they travel, a "terror from God" falls on the surrounding cities, preventing them from attacking Jacob’s family. REBUILD THE ALTAR: Jacob builds an altar at Bethel and names it El-Bethel (God of the House of God), shifting the focus from the place to God Himself. God reminds Jacob of HIS Promise (Genesis 35:9–15) — God reminds Jacob that he has a NEW NAME: God reaffirms Jacob's new name, Israel, signifying his transformed identity. El-Shaddai: God reveals Himself as "God Almighty," assuring Jacob of His sufficiency to fulfill the covenant promises. (Genesis 35:9-15) Jacob was known by his family and friends as a trickster, a conman, a deceiver, twisted — but God LOVED Jacob and RENAMED him Israel. God does not call you what others LABELED YOU — that’s not who you are. God wants to REWRITE YOUR STORY. God wants to CHANGE YOUR LEGACY. God is the GREATEST NAME CHANGER in the WORLD. Biblical names represent character, destiny, and divine authority, emphasizing that God’s name reveals His nature—sovereign, personal, and powerful. (Genesis 35:16) Rachel began to give birth and had great difficulty — BIRTH and PAIN at same time… Every time there’s a birthing, there’s also a BREAKING. REMEMBER The "Curse": Earlier, when Laban searched for his stolen idols, Jacob declared that whoever had them would not live, unaware that Rachel had them. (Genesis 31:19, 30-35) Context: She previously cried out to Jacob, "Give me children, or I shall die!"(Genesis 30:1). The thing she believed would giver her life was now leading to her death. Jacob and his group left Bethel. Before they came to Ephrath, Rachel began giving birth to her baby. She was having a lot of trouble with this birth. She was in great pain. When her nurse saw this, she said, “Don’t be afraid, Rachel. You are giving birth to another son.” Rachel died while giving birth to the son. Before dying, she named the boy Benoni. (Benoni means son of my suffering - kid who brings pain, suffering, death) But Jacob called him Benjamin. (Benjamin means son of my right hand - blessed son - my right hand man - favored son) (Genesis.35:17-18) BUT HIS FATHER NAMED HIM BENJAMIN. Never name your future by your current pain! Never allow your current pain to become a permanent vision for your future. You can CHANGE THE NAME of whatever label got placed on you! Refuse to Label a Blessing as a Burden: Jacob did not want his son to carry the weight of his mother's death as his identity. YOU CAN CHOOSE to REFRAME every situation with Faith. YOU ARE NOT WHAT PEOPLE CALL YOU — YOU ARE WHAT YOU ANSWER TO! 📘 Connect with Us: Explore more about God and get plugged in at Victory by going to https://victory.com/online. - HOW TO GET PAST YOUR PAST | PAUL DAUGHERTY | JACOB SERIES PT 3

#reconciliation #howtogetpastyourpast #restoration #jacobseries #sermon #pauldaugherty #victory #Jesus #moveon Genesis 32:6-30 // Genesis 30:1-26 // Genesis 31:1-50 // Genesis 33:1-11 ---GOD WORKS with WEAK PEOPLE ---GOD WORKS THROUGH WEAK PEOPLE ---GOD IS ATTRACTED to WEAKNESS--- ---JACOB was BLESSED, BUT he was broken, afraid, stressed... We all have a BLESSED, BUT situation in our life... • The "Rachel" Illusion: We often believe that if we just get a specific person or achievement, everything will be okay and our lives will be "fixed". • The "Leah" Reality: When we finally obtain what we wanted, we eventually find it is "Leah"—it cannot provide the ultimate meaning or satisfaction we expected. --Responses to the "Leah" REALITY----people typically react to this disillusionment in one of four ways: 1. Blaming the Object: Thinking you just need a "better" version (a better spouse or job), which Keller calls the "fool's way".—REPLACING IDOLS WITH MORE IDOLS… 2. Blaming Yourself: Falling into self-hatred because you feel like a failure for not being happy. TRYING TO FIND HEALING IN YOURSELF… 3. Blaming Life: Hardening yourself into a cynic and refusing to hope for anything. 4. Accept The Christian Way: Realizing that your heart's true desire is for God and that earthly things are meant to point toward Him rather than satisfy you. eventually everything that LOOKS like RACHEL---ends up still feeling like LEAH----PROMISES to FILL YOUR EVERY VOID like JACOB waiting for RACHEL only ends up being---LEAH IN THE MORNING… NO earthly thing—whether a spouse, a career, or a success—can truly fulfill the deepest longings of the human heart. --- if there’s nothing in this world that ever is RACHEL including RACHEL herself---then RACHEL MUST be BEYOND THIS WORLD---if there’s nothing in this world that will ever satisfy me, then it means that I am made for something beyond this world--- THE GOSPEL---JESUS is the greater RACHEL… --RACHEL IS SAYING, IF I COULD JUST HAVE _______... –LEAH IS SAYING, IF THEY WOULD JUST _______....JACOB is SAYING, IF THIS SITUATION were BETTER I’D FINALLY HAVE PEACE…. ---AND GOD IS SAYING----WHEN ARE YOU GONNA LOOK AT ME---BECAUSE I ALREADY HAVE WHAT you’re LOOKING FOR… - GENESIS 30:13--- HOW HAPPY I AM--- the women will call me HAPPY… ---ANYTIME you tie your happiness to what others think or say about you---YOU WILL NEVER be happy… JACOB's STORY is a REMINDER that we are ALL IN a PROCESS of being SANCTIFIED. 1. Justification – ONE-TIME Event (Past) ---- “Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.” – Romans 5:1 (KJV)- ----We are saved from the penalty of sin. 2. Sanctification – Ongoing (Present)--- “For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication.” – 1 Thessalonians 4:3 (KJV) ---This is the lifelong process of being made holy, set apart, and conformed to the image of Christ. It is NOT perfection but progression. ---We are being saved from the power of sin. 3. Glorification – Future Hope---- “Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.” – Romans 8:30 (KJV)----One day, when Christ returns, we will be transformed — no more sin, no more death, no more struggle. ---We will be saved from the presence of sin. In Summary: Justification → ONE-TIME event, already complete. (Past) Sanctification → A daily, ongoing process. (Present) Glorification → Our eternal future with Christ. (Future) Believer, take heart: you are already justified, you are being sanctified, and you will be glorified. This is the unshakable promise of God (Philippians 1:6). This story serves as a picture of the gospel in that, just as Jacob did not deserve Esau's mercy, humans are reconciled to God through a grace they did not earn, changing a relationship of enmity into one of reconciliation. ----Reconciliation Begins with God -----Before Jacob could reconcile with Esau, he first had to be "broken" by God. ----The thing he was afraid of was waiting to embrace him. 📘 Connect with Us: Explore more about God and get plugged in at Victory by going to https://victory.com/online. Marriage requires continuous, lifelong effort, and challenges can arise at any stage, not just the beginning. ----Myth: Happy couples don't fight. Conflict is normal; the key to a healthy marriage is how couples handle and resolve conflict, not avoiding it. ----Myth: My spouse should know what I need. Assuming your partner is a mind-reader leads to resentment. Healthy, direct communication is necessary. ----Myth: Marriage is a 50/50 deal.
