Bill Johnson teaches how to thrive while you’re waiting for your breakthrough. Jeremiah 29: 11 is a well known verse, and was a promise given to Israel while they were in captivity. God instructed them to thrive - to build houses, have families, and establish their lives, even while they were waiting for their breakthrough. Your ability to thrive in life and the decisions you make must not depend on your outward circumstances; God is calling you to live from the inside out, because the Kingdom you carry on the inside is greater than any challenge you face. The second part of Bill’s message is about hearing God’s voice and recognizing when and how He is speaking. Bill Johnson talks about the purpose of authority and God’s value for justice. As sons and daughters of God, we have been given authority and favor. Authority and favor are to be used for the benefit of others. The Queen of Sheba recognized the favor of God on King Solomon “because of God’s love for Israel”. Righteousness and justice are the foundation of God’s throne (Psalm 97: 2), and contending for justice is a huge part of what it means to exercise the authority God has given to us. Jesus came to set captives and prisoners free, and now we are called to do the same.
